Actual Damages
Actual damages are real, substantial and just damages, or the amount awarded to a complainant in compensation for his actual and real loss or injury. Compensatory damages, also called actual damages, are paid to compensate the claimant for loss, injury, or harm suffered by (see requirement of causation) another's breach of duty.
